Thursday 14th March – Windsurf * The Dip at Felixstowe – Cloudy but mild.

Foil – 4.00 knot max, 1.15 knot ave, 0.00 knot hour, 0.00 knot mile, 1.95 km., 0.00 knot alpha.

Starboard Freeride 150 and a Tushingham Bolt 5.5m.

The forecast was good for today, sunny periods, mild with a good breeze from the south so was keen to get out again, with the tide still pretty low for Levington I decided to have a look at The Dip in Felixstowe and it looked good. The sea was fairly smooth , abit of sunshine on the water and about 20 knots of wind at 10 , the foil board was quickly set up and I even rigged my 5.5 but sadly by the time I had put onn my wetsuit the wind had dropped:( I did have onne very wobberly run out to the red and white bouy inn way under 10 knots of wind, at this point I would not have got going with my 7.5 so came and packed up and headed for home, the wind did not pick up again until 3.20 in the afternoon, much too late for me to bother again, even if a couple did get out at The Manor, hoping for better luck tomorrow!

Walk *** Around Felixstowe.

The sun made an appearance in the afternoon and after Mag had finished her many jobs with her plants which are now coming along in leaps and bounds we headed out for our daily walk. We had to go to Specsavers first and I was lucky to get new Quicksilver frames for my broken sunglasses and they also straightened my normal glasses all while we waited, top service:) We then walked down to The Fludyers, through the Spa garden on a pleasant afternoon, sunny with a light onshore breeze and a very lumpy sea! Back on the prom we did a circuit of the pier where we took 5 minutes on a bench to watch the pigeons and gulls with several families having fun on the beach, then home for a welcome cuppa and cake:)
